about

This 45 minute drone/doom/noise/ambient piece written and improvised imagining what would one of the most massive and brightest stars known to man - Alpha Orionis (Betelgeuse) - would sound like. As NASA and ESA have recorded magnetic, plasma - etc.- waves from our own Sun, Moon, planets and other interstellar objects that we have then transformed into audible sound waves, this guitar only live improvisation with a dozen of effects is an idea of how the unknown and the gigantic unimaginable areas of the Universe could vibrate. “Alpha Orionis” has been played by imagining a journey of how it would be to drift into the orbit, the atmosphere and into the depths of Betelgeuse - a Red Supergiant 700 times the size of our own Sun - which it’s life will be taken by a massive Supernova in the next million years.

Alpha Orionis has perhaps the most famous star name in the heavens, Betelgeuse, which is a distortion of the Arabic “yad al-jawzā”, the hand of the Central One.
